So I really thought I'd do better about submissions and finishing new pieces these last few months. Unfortunately, I wasn't expecting to have to go into work as often as I have been (1 day off and 23 days going in this month...someone just shoot me). My husband and I also 'rescued' a dog almost 4 months ago, and she, more than anything else, has claimed any free time I might have had. She has the sweetest temperament, but I've never met a dog that was more neurotic and needy than she is. Between her and the strain of work, all I want to do when I get home is curl up in a ball and not be bothered. And read Harry Potter. Ten years late, but I'm finally reading the series...and I'm addicted.

Fortunately, it's never to late too late to try again. After the Christmas/New Year's holiday, I will try to be more productive. Those who are supposed to be holding me accountable (y'all know who you are) need to step it up and hold my toes to the fire.
